  4. *** VBRUN300.DLL REQUIRED ***
  5.  
  6. This program requires VBRUN300.DLL (Visual Basic 3 Runtime
  7. Library).  This file should be located in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM
  8. directory.  This file is not included in the compressed
  9. shareware file distributed on on-line services, because it
  10. increases the size of the file, and most users already have
  11. it on their system anyway.  If you don't have it (which
  12. will be obvious because the game won't run!), you can
  13. download it from any on-line service.  If you REALLY
  14. can't find it, write to the support/orders address later
  15. in this file, and I will send you a copy.

  17. *** HOW TO INSTALL ***
  18.  
  19. Make a new directory on your hard drive, and copy JPOKER.EXE
  20. into it.  Run JPOKER (from DOS or Windows) to extract the
  21. files.  Leave all the files in the same directory.  Run
  22. POKER.EXE from Windows to use the program!

  24. *** UPDATES ***

  26. ** 2.00 **
  27. Version 2.00 adds a major new feature:  Jennifer's Juicy
  28. Jackpots!  Make a side bet of one coin on any non-wildcard
  29. draw poker game, and win extra payouts on the deal!  Look
  30. up help for "Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots" for further details.

  32. Version 2.00 adds a new card display: Simple Cards.  These
  33. cards feature a larger image which makes them easier to read
  34. on higher resolution monitors.  Choose Simple Cards or Fancy
  35. Cards from the new "Setup" submenu on the "File" menu.
  36. The "Turn Sound On/Off" command has also been moved from the
  37. "Options" menu to the "Setup" submenu in 2.00 and later.

  39. First-time users will see a new start-up screen allowing
  40. choices of which "Goodies" to use.  Click in the "Welcome"
  41. dialog at program start-up to display the start-up screen
  42. during future sessions.

  45. Version 1.20 provides an exciting NEW game unique to
  46. Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker:  Crazy Eights Double Payout poker!
  47. With this new Video Poker game, you can win TWICE on each
  48. hand:  once on the deal, and again on the draw!  This is one
  49. exciting game!  For further details, look for the new HELP
  50. menu command, "How to Play Crazy Eights Double Payout Poker."

  52. With this new game, registered users of Jennifer's Sexy Video
  53. Poker get to play TWENTY-ONE different poker games!  That's more
  54. than any other video poker program we've seen... and we give you
  55. REAL games that you find in the casinos, and every one is different.

  57. programs that tell you they give you 8 video poker variations, but
  58. then you find out that the 8 "games" are exactly the same except
  59. that one says "25 cents" on the coin slot, one says "$1", one says
  60. "$5", etc... what a ripoff!  (really... there is a shareware video
  61. poker game out there that does this!)  With Jennifer's Sexy Video
  62. Poker, when we say twenty-one games, we MEAN twenty-one games!!!!!

  64. Version 1.20 fixes a bug in older revisions whereby Same Four
  65. Wins More and Four Plus Four did not correctly pay out on a
  66. Royal Flush.

  69. Version 1.10 and later provides a major new feature:
  70. customizable payout charts!  That's right... you can now
  71. EXACTLY duplicate that game you saw down at the casino
  72. with Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker, even if the payout charts
  73. don't match!  Three new commands are available on the
  74. "Options" menu: one to customize the payout chart for the
  75. game you are currently playing, one to reset the payout chart
  76. for the current game to its default value, and one to reset
  77. all the payout charts to their default values.  This new
  78. feature is available ONLY to registered users, so if you
  79. haven't already, please register today!

  81. The statistics commands, which were on the "Options" menu
  82. in earlier versions, have been moved to their own "Statistics"
  83. menu in version 1.10 and later.

  85. *** 1.04 / 1.03 ***
  86. Version 1.04 provides some graphical enhancements and a few
  87. maintenance changes.  If you're dying to know: the
  88. "Game Over" sign now alternates between "Game Over" and
  89. "Play 5 Coins", the "Double Up" dialog is prettier, and
  90. there are now some 3D fonts.

  92. Version 1.03 fixes a minor bug in 1.00, and adds a new
  93. feature: Deuces/Jokers Wild now pays the progressive jackpot
  94. for both 4 Deuces & Joker, and a Natural Royal Flush.
  95. And, all wild deuces games now show "WILD!" on the deuces,
  96. as in the casino video poker games.
  97. Also, you can now type "Y" or "N" on the keyboard without
  98. using "alternate" to choose if you want to double up, and
  99. type "2" through "5" to choose your double up card.

  102. *** HELP and SOUND FILES ***

  104. The help file, POKER.HLP, and the sound files, *.WAV, must
  105. remain in the program directory to be accessed by the program.

  107. If you don't want sound, and you want to save space on your
  108. hard drive, you can delete the .WAV files and the program
  109. will still work fine.  (Of course, you won't hear Jennifer's
  110. voice!)
